Chalk Painting

 Recently learned about "chalk painting" from the internet and have decided to try it.  So have acquired several pieces to try it on.  I've started small with a little end table.  The table had a stained finish that covered just fine with the chalk paint.  No need to sand or anything.  Am using acrylic paints for the decorative painting and is going on well over the chalk painting.

Finished painting my baby birdhouses.  I was planning on doing them in very soft colors.  But I ended up using brighter colors so they would show up better outside

Am busy painting my baby birdhouses.  They have been sitting out on a limb outside our dinning room window and have gotten just a little too weathered.

Set this painting against the backdrop of our beautiful Lake Michigan.

oil spill

Have been following the oil spill on TV and have been just sick to see what is happening in those beautiful gulf coast waters.  Have done several paintings from some of the TV pictures I've been seeing.

John's Workshop

John enjoys working in his "very little" shed at our "very little" trailer in Lady Lake, Florida. He has made several very unique lamps and two lighthouses out of small stones.

Elies gardening shirt

Ellie grows beautiful daylilies so I decided to paint a shirt for her to wear in her wonderful garden. I practiced drawing and painting so many daylilies from her photos that I ended up painting and sketching them on everything.

ellie's shirt was so much fun to do I decided to do a "gardening shirt" for myself.

John has sure been busy on the playhouse you can see how far he has come
since last year.










The roof is now on and the kids are already having fun
playing in it .
Now he is working on putting the shakes on the front.
